The rising star maintains impressive social media audience
The young golfer can count on plenty of well-known backers as she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, owns numerous golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she mentioned.
She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa essentially told me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in only three events in 2024 and maintains the 461st position in AJGA rankings.
But she can get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player globally," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He told me to compete, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple top competitors in women's golf at the competition, such as world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that her participation exposes golf to new audiences, specifically with younger fans.
The young star boasts a massive following and has started a personal apparel and wellness label.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
