Netflix Casts Ideal Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the major clash won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. The role possesses the power to change into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a interpretation of that figure reimagined as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the original manga and anime.

This performer joins multiple new cast members who will portray Baroque Works to life, including chief Sir Crocodile, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as another operative, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.

Although the role is a key figure of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a notable change in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the plot development.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the part. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10, 2026.
