Real Madrid acquired Trent Alexander-Arnold with a long-term contract

Trent Alexander-Arnold's recovery is progressing according to plan, giving possibility that the Real Madrid right-back could be fit in time to face his former team Liverpool in November's Champions League encounter.

The English international experienced a hamstring injury while playing against Ligue 1 side Marseille in the group stage of the competition on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold exited the field in the fifth minute, with early reports indicating a potential layoff of as long as six weeks.

Real Madrid will travel to play at Liverpool on November 4 for the Champions League match—precisely over a month since the injury took place.

Insiders close to the player's condition state that the player's healing process is moving along positively, and there is expectation that Alexander-Arnold might make his first appearance to Liverpool's stadium since moving to Los Blancos in June.

A longtime Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier said that leaving the team he joined as a six-year-old youth talent was the "hardest decision he's ever made."

During his time with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold accumulated 354 appearances, helping win multiple Premier League championships, a Champions League, and the FA Cup.

Since joining to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has played five times in various tournaments, totaling over two and a half hours of game time.
