Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The plane landed based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This event isn't the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has encountered equipment failures.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was compelled to return to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
