Close to Ninety Air Travels Connected to Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Arrived at or Departed from UK Airports
Analysis has identified that nearly 90 aircraft journeys connected to Jeffrey Epstein are said to have landed at and took off from British airports, with some reportedly transporting women from the UK who assert they were abused by the convicted child sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Trail of Movement
The flight logs were part of thousands of court documents and papers made public by Epstein’s estate that have been made public over the last year. The review uncovered 87 flights tied to Epstein – encompassing many that were not previously known – arriving or departing from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Travel
Unnamed “females” were recorded among the individuals travelling into and out of the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys occurred subsequent to Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a underage person.
“This is ‘astonishing’ that there had never been a ‘comprehensive British inquiry’ into his activities in the country,” remarked American attorneys acting for hundreds of Epstein survivors.
British Victims and Court Cases
Testimony from one of the UK-based survivors helped convict Epstein’s accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that survivor has never been contacted by British law enforcement, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the the Met stated they had “not been provided with any additional information that would support reopening the inquiry.” They added, “If fresh and pertinent evidence be presented to us, encompassing any resulting from the disclosure of material in the US, we will assess it.”
Ongoing Document Release and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to make public all files held by the American government in relation to Epstein was approved by the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to follow through. A vast number of files are expected to be released.
Separately, a federal judge decided last week that the DOJ could make public evidence from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime confidante, who is currently serving a 20-year jail term over the charges.
